Author Monica Duncan’s second novel, GENEROUS LIAR, will be published by Sea Crow Press in 2027. Her debut novel TWINE was released by Crowsnest Books with a glowing blurb from Elinor Lipman, a recommendation by Parade Magazine, and an interview in the Boston Globe, while receiving rave reviews from Debutiful and The Nerd Daily. She was a featured presenter at the Newburyport Literary Festival​, and her essays have appeared in Political Animal Magazine, Writer’s Digest and in Women Writers, Women’s Books. 

In addition to being an author, Monica Duncan has been a professional musician for many years. As a clarinetist she can be heard with Lexington Symphony, Salem Philharmonic Orchestra, ​Improbable Beasts, and in chamber groups and pit orchestras throughout the Greater Boston area.

Monica teaches music at Salem State University and both music and creative writing at Pingree School.
